Mentor/Mentee Program

Region I has created a program to benefit new members as well as more seasoned members.  If you are new to the field with less than 5 years experience and wish to obtain a mentor or if you have more than 5 years experience and wish to help a new member then check out the Mentor Program Page for more information.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Enrollment Period

  • May 1 - December 14 (Extended from June 25th)
Mentor/Mentee Notification
  • June 25 – December 2

  • July 1 - May 31st

  • 15 – 20
Formal Activities 
  • July through May 
  • Mentors and mentees communicate via email, phone or in person on a mutually agreed upon schedule
  • National Annual Meeting – November 2012 (moving to August starting 2013) Washington, DC
  • Networking/Meeting Reception
  • Spring Meeting Various New England Locations
  • Recognition Event
  • Concurrent Session (2 Mentor/Mentee Teams will be asked to sit on a panel to promote the program to draw interest in the next session).
VMC Check-In w/Teams
  • End of July

  • Check on progress of teams

If you are a member of Region 1 and have less than 5 years experience working as a research administrator, you can sign up to be assigned a Mentor. Use the Mentee Sign Up sheet and submit to mentor@ncuraregion1.org during the enrollment period.

If you have more than 5 years experience as a Research Administrator and would like to share your talent with a new member, use the Mentor Sign Up sheet and submit to mentor@ncuraregion1.org during the enrollment period.
